I’m thankful for numerous aspects of HVAC technology but it can also just be a bit overwhelming.
For sure, HVAC technology makes our life much more convenient, and yet, I’m still a bit cautious when it comes to HVAC technology as it applies to all the things in our life. I would love to still count on our own mind whenever I can, however and I also don’t definitely need every single tech gadget that comes along. It has something to do with the fact that it took myself and others this long to get smart temperature controls. If it had been up to our spouse, both of us would have had smart temperature controls long ago. Actually though, both of us were both waiting on that initial HVAC technology to be more refined, then neither one of us wanted to spend a bunch of cash on smart temperature controls only to have it be obsolete the next year. So both of us did wait a while, plus I continued to be the one on temperature control patrol. But recently, both of us took the plunge then called the HVAC business to send out an HVAC professional to install smart temperature controls. I just wish I knew then what I assume now when it comes to this type of HVAC technology. I would have done this far sooner, however the HVAC professional gave the smart temperature controls basic parameters, from there, it’s been basically on its own. I just let the smart temperature controls do its thing plus both of us saved more than 15% on HVAC cooling this summer. Obviously, the smart temperature controls do a much better job of maintaining temperature control discipline than I did. And it’s actually a piece of technology that I can love without it being too far in our face.
