We had just moved into a charming and lush village, the home was immense, with 5 bedrooms with 2 a half bathrooms.
The neighbors seemed genuinely charming.
The first night our next-door friend brought us some delicious pies, but all the neighbors were genuinely friendly to us, and the children also got along with the town children. The ancient dial control device also had to go, so all of us upgraded to an intelligent regulator. The heating and air conditioning serviceman told us they would use the same heating and air conditioning equipment all of us had, the only difference was the mechanism they used to help with indoor comfort. That meant the whole exercise would cost much less than purchasing a new quality heating device. Furnace filter upgradement and heat pump service would continue with their schedule. The heating and air conditioning repairman taught us more about heating so that all of us could manage easy air conditioning care. It was the first of the several adventures that we would have in our new home.
