I had never seen anyone install siding before, and enjoying them do it on our house was interesting, there were so many measurements they had to take before they could split even one piece of siding, and I knew I would have messed every one of them up, then siding replacement wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be! I thought they would set the siding up against the house and mark where siding installers needed to cut.
They needed to put sheets of insulation on the wall, and carefully nail it so the nails for the siding didn’t hit the nails in the insulation.
I didn’t assume siding insulation would be so interesting to watch… My brother and I watched closely, thinking that if every one of us needed to install siding on his house, every one of us could do it on our own. The longer every one of us watched, the closer they got to the top of the house. I didn’t understand how they were going to not just split the siding to fit perfectly, but how they were going to nail it in. Siding replacement wasn’t nearly as easy as I thought it would be. The siding installers didn’t seem to have a problem making the cuts right or nailing them in leaving no holes. They did the siding replacement so abruptly and definitely that they made it interesting to watch; After a couple of hours, they went on break, and our brother and I went over to look at their work; Even in the smallest cut, there was no sign of a nail hole.
