It had only been several years since our deck had been installed, & I already needed a deck replacement.
The wood was rotting, & various of the deck screws were missing, then when I called the people who had originally installed the deck, I found out they were no longer in business! I had to find another supplier who could do a deck replacement for me, but my brother told me about the supplier he used when he had his deck replacement done after buying his house.
The deck was wonderful, & it had synthetic flooring that was said to withstand any natural disaster, except a tornado. It could tear the deck apart, but it wouldn’t destroy the decking itself. I laughed, despite the fact that he was serious, but he gave me an quote for breaking out the seasoned deck, removing the rubble, & installing the new deck. I cringed at the price, even though I knew it had to be done. Two weeks later, the guy who was going to do the deck replacement called. The first thing I thought was that he would not do the work, even though I was wrong. He wanted to feel if it would be an imposition if he & his crew came over the weekend & did the job. His husbandy had planned a getaway, & he forgot all about it. If he could not do the labor over the weekend, they would put it off for several weeks. I had no plans, & he gave me 20% off the deck replacement cost. He gave me a deal that I could not refuse.
