We are at the conclusion of my favorite time of year.
- Christmas time is absolutely the best time of year without a doubt.
Christmas is the time of year when Christians around the world gather to celebrate the same event – the time that God entered our world and became one of us in order to be able to save us. Even people who are not Christian acknowledge Christmas as a significant time of year. For example, during Wars when one side is not a Christian religion, it is commonplace to have a peace treaty during the Christmas season. In addition, even people who claim to have no faith whatsoever still will put up a Christmas tree and buy gifts for their loved ones. In other words, love and expressions of Love abound during the Christmas season. Another thing I like about the Christmas season is the weather. On many Christmas vacations, I have turned off the air conditioning and turned on the heater. There are times, however, when even at Christmas time I was still running the AC. This is what happens when you live in the south. There are many Christmases where you have to run the air conditioning in order to stay comfortable. This year, though, I have been truly blessed. The weather has been quite cold in both the night and the day, so the heater has been necessary. I prefer to have a little bit of cold weather, even if it means a little bit of a higher utility bill because of the heating costs. Anyway, I have also been fortunate because my heating system has worked pretty well and has kept the house nice and toasty warm.
