I wished I was living back on the ranch.

I had been living in the neighborhood for almost 10 years now, and I still haven’t gotten used to it.

There isn’t a morning goes by that I don’t wish I was living back on the farm. It doesn’t matter what I do, my apartment is never comfortable. I can odor the fumes of the city, and it makes myself and others sick. I tried a portable whole-house air purifier, but it didn’t help. The odor is on my clothing and skin when I get home, and I need to wash my clothes every morning and take a shower twice a morning. I bought 3 suits so I could have 1 to wear, 1 for the next morning, and have 1 in the dry cleaners. I just don’t care about how they odor when I get home… Of course, this apartment will never entirely be my home. It the apartment above myself and others is having guests, I can hear them. There is an older couple that lives below me, and they love their heat. The heat comes up through the floor. I seldom have my control unit above sixty because the heat from their apartment keeps myself and others warm, and unfortunately, while in the summer, I need to keep the control unit lower, because they use little air conditioning. I remember the breeze blowing the kitchen curtains while in the middle of summer, but we didn’t need air conditioning on the farm. The only odor was when my dad was laboring in the fields, and they were far enough away that you had to be outside to know she was laboring. I am stuck in the city, and trying to figure out how to rectify it, short of moving back apartment with my parents.
