I kept hearing the pet yelp in the middle of the night, but I thought he was just having a nightmare.
I closed my eyes & went back to sleep, only to be awakened a few hours later.
I went downstairs to see what was wrong with the pets. When I saw him, I didn’t feel if I wanted to laugh at him or cry for him. He had small burn marks on his face, where he had been chewing on the electrical cord that affixed to the space heater. I was miserable that he had destroyed the cord & the space oil furnace would no longer work. The space oil furnace was less than a year old, & now I needed to upgrade it. A area of myself and others wanted to laugh at the pet. His head was hanging, & he had his paws over his eyes. I knew he didn’t mean to destroy anything. It was taxing to look at the burns on his face, but he was the one who chewed on the cord. I looked at the cord & wondered why he hadn’t caught something on fire, which included himself. There were small burn marks on the carpet, which came from the sparking wire, however my pet was blessed he didn’t burn up himself or my home. When the Heating & A/C business ductwork cleaning crew arrived, they hastily cleaned the ductwork. They told myself and others I needed to call the Heating & A/C. With all the dirt they removed, it was possible the heating system may have boiling & been disfigured. That was not something I wanted to hear.
