We live in a warmer climate, so we are used to seeing bees and wasps and my husband knows to stay calm and not to swat at them when they are flying around
My husband works as an HVAC technician, which means he spends a lot of time outside. And while working outside he is always impacted by all the elements. It could be weather, an animal or flying critters, he is always dealing with something. He has encountered snakes, birds, as well as other animals near HVAC equipment. He is used to it and it’s just a part of the job for him. While he has dealt with larger animals it’s the flying insects that scares him the most. He is deathly afraid of wasps and bees, and he refuses to work on any unit that has these critters around. He was called to perform a service once and when he arrived, he observed a massive wasp nest near the HVAC unit. The owner was too afraid to remove the wasp nest and wanted my husband to remove it before he performed the service. Unfortunately, my husband was not able to oblige. And for good reason because he’s allergic to the stings of wasps and bees. So, he has to be super careful when around these insects because it could be a life or death situation for him. Of course, he carries epinephrine with him just in case he does get stung, but he can’t risk placing himself in a situation that increases his chances of encountering bees or wasps. We live in a warmer climate, so we are used to seeing bees and wasps and my husband knows to stay calm and not to swat at them when they are flying around. That is a threat to the bees and wasps and would be more prone to attack.
