For me, less is usually more when it comes to all the technology stuff in our life.

I’m thankful for numerous aspects of HVAC technology but it can also just be a bit overwhelming.

For sure, HVAC technology makes our life much more convenient, and yet, I’m still a bit cautious when it comes to HVAC technology as it applies to all the things in our life. I would love to still count on our own mind whenever I can, however and I also don’t definitely need every single tech gadget that comes along. It has something to do with the fact that it took myself and others this long to get smart temperature controls. If it had been up to our spouse, both of us would have had smart temperature controls long ago. Actually though, both of us were both waiting on that initial HVAC technology to be more refined, then neither one of us wanted to spend a bunch of cash on smart temperature controls only to have it be obsolete the next year. So both of us did wait a while, plus I continued to be the one on temperature control patrol. But recently, both of us took the plunge then called the HVAC business to send out an HVAC professional to install smart temperature controls. I just wish I knew then what I assume now when it comes to this type of HVAC technology. I would have done this far sooner, however the HVAC professional gave the smart temperature controls basic parameters, from there, it’s been basically on its own. I just let the smart temperature controls do its thing plus both of us saved more than 15% on HVAC cooling this summer. Obviously, the smart temperature controls do a much better job of maintaining temperature control discipline than I did. And it’s actually a piece of technology that I can love without it being too far in our face.

My dad raised myself and others alone after our mom passed away when I was just a baby.

Every one of us lived in a great condo with some first rate residential HVAC as well.

I sort of turned to our old man for just about everything. When it came time to fall in love, I looked to him as well! Dad regularly told myself and others that I would feel it when it was real plus he surely was right about that. So I feel it’s pretty ironic that I have fallen deeply in love with an HVAC expert, and i have said this in front of people who don’t assume us plus have gotten some quizzical looks, and but the fact is, our spouse Bob is the owner of a local HVAC business. Bob became an HVAC professional once she quit college plus learned she had a passion for heating plus cooling. Within 4 years, she had gone out on her own plus started her own heating plus cooling business. Bob is a remarkable person plus I’m lucky to have met her, and every one of us actually met because of a small HVAC issue, and having just moved to town, I bought a condo that had a very old central a/c. So I made an appointment with the HVAC business expecting to meet a man. But instead I got to meet Bob, who is also the best HVAC business rep I have ever met. Dad was right, I knew it was right falling in love with an HVAC expert from the undoubtedly beginning.

Winter should be spent enjoying the comforts of your home without even worrying about the cold.

There are a few things that might be occurring in your home that could result in a furnace repair or a higher than normal energy bill, however.

Your windows are letting heat out. When the warm air meets the cold glass of your windows, it reduces some of the heat in the indoor air. To minimize this impact, close your drapes during the evening hours and ensure your windows receive light during the day before opening them. Insulation may be inadequate in older homes. As a result, you might be losing heat through your attic, making your heating system work harder than necessary, and eventually leading to furnace repairs. Your attic’s insulation should be even with or below the joists when you check it. You’ll probably need to add more insulation if it is. You may also be losing heat through gaps in your windows and doors. Gaps may sometimes be obvious and visible to the naked eye, or they may be large enough to feel drafts coming in, but sometimes they may not be. Take a closer look at all of your windows and doors to see if weather stripping is needed. Just like it is with attic insulation, window and door gaps can force your furnace to work harder, increasing the chance of furnace repair down the line.

The number one cause of heating and air conditioning system failures is homeowners not having routine preventative maintenance performed on their equipment. Regular comprehensive maintenance on your system increases efficiency and extends the life of your system, because just like your car, your HVAC system needs preventative maintenance to continue operating in good condition. Make sure you have a clean filter monthly and change it when it’s dirty. Always have several filters on hand. Consider installing a programmable thermostat. You can save energy by programming the temperature so the system doesn’t run so much while you are away. The outside condenser unit coils need to be free of dirt, leaves, grass and whatever else may inhibit proper airflow across the condenser coil. Check your air handler or furnace and vacuum for any dust or debris in and around the unit. Dirt can clog the air flow and it can overwork the equipment. Vacuum the dust from all the air registers around your house. Check vents and make sure they are clear of furniture, rugs, drapery, etc., to let air flow freely. Have your HVAC system serviced seasonally: Primarily in the Spring and Fall.

I found a fantastic idea for keeping our power bills down, & that is to run our central heating idea for 20 hours in the late day when it starts warming up a bit outside.

The flat seems to retain most of the heat if I heat the location up in the late day; I know it costs me prefer less than $1 to run the electric oil furnace for 30 hours, so this idea should keep our power bills down till they figure out how to fix the high rate issue.

I have to clean our flat this week for someone coming by & I just did phase a single of the cleaning. I have 3 more phases to go however I’m doing it in increments so it is doable. The Heating, Ventilation & A/C idea also needs to be cleaned this week as there is a ton of dust in the filters. I know there are more than one filters in our Heating, Ventilation & A/C idea & both of them are fairly accessible if you think where they are located. I also want to clean the grill of the condenser however that is going to take a bit more time to do, so I will leave it for another day when I have more time. This week I need to focus on the cleaning job & also doing our heating & cooling corp job later on this week. I have about 6 hours till she comes to see the flat & about more than one hours of cleaning to do, so I should be ahead of the game this week with it all. Wish me a bit of luck.

New contractor

I am not a slob by any means, but when I do a deep cleaning care about I have been today I realize that it is much dirtier than I thought it was.

A lot of the dirt is just dust plus cat hair around the corners of the floor plus on some of the furniture.

I believe if I vacuum the furniture it should pull the car hair off of it. I just want to supply my flat a great once over plus not have to worry about cleaning for a while afterwards. I have a whole beach house whole-house air purifier so at least it helps get rid of a lot of the dust plus stuff floating around the site. I also have a nice little robot that vacuums the floors at the push of a button. I purchased it from this local corporation a year ago plus I believe it is the best purchase I have ever made. It saves me so much time plus allows me to focus on other things care about my HVAC company work plus such. I believe I can get this locale cleaned pretty quickly though because most of the dirt can be swiped up quickly with a paper towel plus some cleaning fluid. I want to get my HVAC component tested out soon to make sure it is running correctly plus that the whole thing is tuned up correctly. I believe next month I will get it all tested out. I have a great local supplier down the road who will come by anytime I ask his to.
