I absolutely love when it is time for crab season.

• My friends and I have a couple of small crab traps that we take out to the ocean with us.

We drop the crab traps into the water and then we sit on the pier and drink beers. Last weekend we sat outside on the dock for several hours hoping to get crabs for the next day. Whenever we get crabs on a Friday night, we always spend the day on Saturday boiling them in a pot of water with corn, potatoes, hot peppers, and sausage. If you add a little shrimp to the mix, it is absolutely delicious. I was really cold out on the dock when we were there last weekend. It was supposed to be 42° outside, but the wind was really whipping around and it felt like it was freezing. The dock was moving back and forth because the wind was so harsh. When I had a pretty good buzz, I decided to lift up my crab trap to see if there was anything inside. I actually had a couple of keepers, which was a surprise to me. There were two females that were undersized and I threw them back and there were also two pretty nice size males that I put into a water tank until I got back to the house. After all of my time at the beach, I was pretty cold. I went home and turned on the space heater in my bedroom. The space heater took away a lot of the shell that was inside of the air. After 15 or 20 minutes I turned off the space heater and it was very comfortable inside.

Every time my girlfriend and I go to my mom’s place for dinner, she always mentions how nice it smells inside of the house. She’s been complaining a lot lately, because I have been smoking cigars on the patio. Even though I’m outside, the smell of cigars still seems to go into the house and my girlfriend does not like the smell at all. She told me that we need to buy an air cleaning machine just like the one that my mom has.

When I was a young heating and AC repair technician, I could work from 8:00 in the morning until 8:00 at night.

• If the boss let me get 25 hours of overtime in a week, I would work the extra days.

If my boss let me work 7 days in a week, I would. I didn’t have a family or kids back then, so making money was my main plan. Over the years, the job has really worn me out. Having a family has also helped with that. I was thinking about retiring a couple of years ago because of the physical wear and tear that heating and AC repair and installation work has done to my body. I was going to get a job at the Home Depot or Lowe’s stocking shelves or helping customers find the right type of screw for the job. Then my boss at the heating and AC company offered me a cushy promotion. He thought that I was thinking about going to a different company and he offered me an executive position in the office. I will oversee the day to day activities for three of the branches in the northwestern part of the state. I would be responsible for making sure that sales and promotions were carried out and regular day-to-day managerial activities. The job came with an office in one of the heating and AC repair businesses as well as a salary. When I told my wife about the job, I thought she was going to faint. She thought that we were going to sell the house and move down south, but I’m not ready to retire yet.

This week one of my new commercial customers tried to write a check for repairs on the heating and air conditioning system. Repairs for the central heating and air conditioning system totaled $12,000. I honestly did not want the customer to write a check. I thought we we’re going to do a cash transaction. Checks can be a lot of problems, because they take forever to clear the bank. I contacted the bank manager to see if the account was good and she told me that the commercial customer had a good account and she said that she could verify the amounts of the check if she had a few minutes. The bank manager seemed to take forever to okay the checks. She said it would take a few minutes, but it actually took 20 minutes. I sat inside of my car the whole time. I was sitting outside of a customer’s house while trying to take care of the problem. I’m sure the woman must have thought I was stalking her, because I sat in the driveway for such a long time after I was finished with the residential heating tune up. when the bank manager finally came back to the line to give me an update. She said that the checks were good and even spoke with the owner of the company to make sure that I could go right to the bank and cash them. I did exactly that. As soon as I got the checks for $12,000, I went to the city bank to get the funds in cash.

The number a single cause of heating & a/c method failures is homeowners not having routine preventative service performed on their equipment, regular comprehensive service on your method increases efficiency & extends the life of your system, because just like your car, your Heating, Ventilation plus A/C method needs preventative service to continue operating in good condition! Make sure you have a clean filter daily & change it when it’s dirty… Always have several filters on hand; Consider installing a programmable temperature control, but you can save energy by programming the temperature so the method doesn’t run so much while you are away! The outside condenser unit coils need to be free of dirt, leaves, turf & whatever else may inhibit familiar airflow across the condenser coil.

Check your air handler or gas furnace & vacuum for any dust or debris in & around the unit; Dirt can clog the air flow & it can overwork the equipment, then vacuum the dust from all the air registers around your house.

Check vents & make sure they are clear of furniture, rugs, drapery, etc., to let air flow freely, have your Heating, Ventilation plus A/C method worked on seasonally: Primarily in the Springtime & Fall.

But actually burning the money with fire is a whole weird level, wow our buddy is nuts.

I have a mere 83 Litecoin coins now, worth about $6500, however if both of us get that bull run they are thinking both of us may get, our 83 coins could be worth close to $100K. This is all I want in life; to get back the money from our dad’s will that I lost this past year. I believe bad for losing it, however it isn’t lost just yet and with some fortune I will get it all back again. I would be so ecstatic if this happened and would entirely be more generous with it if so! My heating and cooling corporation buddy told me last evening that he got $50K from his Grandparents multiple years ago and he burned it all with a match! Is that insane? His Heating, Ventilation, and A/C rep gramps must have worked actually strenuous for that money and he burned it because he wanted to make it on his own. This is 100% true too. But then again, our dad worked as a heating and cooling worker running a local corporation and I tossed the $100K out the window pretty quickly too with dumb and hasty investments. But actually burning the money with fire is a whole weird level, wow our buddy is nuts. He does a lot of heat pump and air con repairs, and is going to have to do a lot more of them to receive back that 50K oh our gosh. I suppose both of us all find ways to burn the money that both of us get in one way or another, however jeez. Anyway, back to our Heating, Ventilation, and A/C technology writing work. It is high noon & I have a fantastic day of work ahead of me.

• I just realized that I am running out of food too, however I know I have enough to get through the day & am going to focus on cleaning our flat from top to bottom.

I am leaving for the States in 17 afternoons & have someone interested in looking at our flat & I want it to be as clean as possible. I can get it all done in about more than one hours max & I’ve already put a dent in the job; The Heating, Ventilation & A/C oil furnace filter just got cleaned & now I am setting our sites on the HEPA filter for the air conditioning system unit. After that I will clean the lavatory & bedroom of the room I am showing to a possible renter & I am hoping she likes it & wants to rent it. She works in a local contractor about 20 hours away by train & I hope that she doesn’t find that to be too long of a trip. This is a nice neighborhood to live in & if the flat is clean I know she will take it. I work just down the road for a cooling company doing Heating, Ventilation & A/C repairs on the weekends. During the week I just do this writing job & also teach a little yoga & volleyball on the side. I just need someone to help me with bills & this girl seems prefer a great fit; Okay, back to cleaning the air conditioning system & then the rest of the flat.
