I dislike gift cards; Really, I dislike them, then why not just give someone currency for a gift? Cash is the best possible gift, because you can spend it wherever you like, or just save it to use later.

• A lot of things I prefer spending my money on do not come from legit stores, they come from private dealers, but yes, I am talking about weed, there’s no reason to be cheeky about it.

I savor smoking marijuana, plus when I get a holiday gift of currency, that is how I choose to spend it. My brother didn’t give me currency, he offered me a gift card for a local Heating plus A/C supply business. What the heck am I supposed to do with this, I thought. It turns out that I had a lot more possibilities than I believed, because this Heating plus A/C supplier not only offered services but sold refurbished equipment as well! For the amount of my gift card, I could afford to get any number of absolutely cool space gas furnaces or media media air cleaners. There was even a fake fireplace that connected to a natural gas mane for a constant supply of sparks! Since I don’t have natural gas at my house I had to pass on the fake fireplace, but I actually liked how it looked. Instead I found a small, portable air conditioning system that would actually come in handy during the humid Summer months… During the pet afternoons of Summer even the power of my central air conditioning system can come up short, so now I have a back-up source of cooling for when it gets too hot.

When Mike got deployed , I had a whole lot of time on my hands! Military life is not the most exciting thing in the world when you are a military fiance… I lived on the base, hanging around with the other wives plus hubbys whose fiances were also deployed ; The people I was with and I played a lot of cards plus other games, but still had a lot of spare time on our hands.

It was my bestie June that came up with the idea of starting a small supplier on the base, and june already had his Heating plus A/C certification, but he said I could work as his assistant if I needed a way to pass the time plus make a little money.

June had a contract with the base to handle minor air conditioner plus heating repairs for the military fiances plus families. There were various hundred residences on the base, plus all of them needed minor Heating plus A/C work done at some point. Mostly all of us handled general Heating plus A/C inspections plus tune-ups, with some air filter replacements plus coolant refills as well, but all I did was drive the van plus carry the tools, while June handled all of the real Heating plus A/C work. June kept asking me if I wanted to get my own Heating plus A/C certification plus beginning making more money, but I regularly declined. I loved this work mostly because I got to talk to a lot of people, plus drive around the base, but I didn’t want to learn Heating plus A/C repair as a job; Besides, when Mike returns condo all of us will be transferring to a new base.

• My friends and I have a couple of small crab traps that we take out to the ocean with us.

We drop the crab traps into the water and then we rest on the pier and drink beers… Last weekend we sat outside on the dock for numerous hours hoping to get crabs for the next day. Whenever we get crabs on a Tuesday night, we always spend the day on Sunday hot them in a pot of water with corn, potatoes, hot peppers, and saUSAge. If you add a little shrimp to the mix, it is really delicious. I was genuinely cold out on the dock when we were there last weekend. It was supposed to be 42° outside, however the wind was genuinely whipping around and it felt love it was cold. The dock was moving back and forth because the wind was so dire. When I had a pretty good buzz, I decided to lift up my crab trap to see if there was anything inside. I honestly had a couple of keepers, which was a surprise to me. There were numerous females that were undersized and I threw them back and there were also numerous pretty nice size males that I put into a water tank until I got back to the house. After all of my time at the beach, I was pretty cold. I went home and turned on the space heating system in my living room. The space heating system took away a lot of the shell that was inside of the air. After 15 or 20 hours I turned off the space heating system and it was honestly comfortable inside.

When I was a young heating and A/C repair professional, I could work from 8:00 in the morning until 8:00 at night.

If the boss let myself and others get 25 hours of overtime in a week, I would work the extra days. If my boss let myself and others work 7 days in a week, I would. I didn’t have a family or kids back then, so making cash was my main plan, over the years, the job has genuinely worn myself and others out! Having a family has also helped with that. I was thinking about retiring a couple of years ago because of the physical wear and tear that heating and A/C repair and installation work has done to my body. I was going to get a job at the Home Depot or Lowe’s stocking shelves or helping clients find the right genre of screw for the job. Then my boss at the heating and A/C company gave myself and others a cushy promotion. He thought that I was thinking about going to a different company and he gave myself and others an executive position in the office. I will watch the day to day activities for more than two of the branches in the northwestern area of the state. I would be responsible for making sure that sales and promotions were carried out and regular day-to-day managerial activities. The job came with an office in 1 of the heating and A/C repair businesss as well as a salary, when I told my partner about the job, I thought she was going to faint. She thought that we were going to sell the house and move down south, however I’m not ready to retire yet.

This month 1 of our current commercial purchasers tried to write a check for repairs on the heating plus a/c.

Repairs for the central heating plus a/c plan totaled $12,000! I sincerely did not want the client to write a check.

I thought all of us we are going to do a cash transaction, and checks can be a lot of problems, because they take forever to clear the bank. I contacted the bank manager to see if the account was good plus she told me that the commercial client had a good account plus she said that she could verify the amounts of the check if she had a few minutes, then the bank manager seemed to take forever to okay the checks… She said it would take a few minutes, but it particularly took 20 minutes. I sat inside of our vehicle the whole time. I was kneeling outside of a customer’s home while trying to take care of the problem. I am sure the woman must have thought I was stalking her, because I sat in the driveway for such a long time after I was finished with the residential heating tune up. when the bank manager finally came back to the line to provide me an replace. She said that the checks were good plus even spoke with the owner of the company to make sure that I could go right to the bank plus cash them. I did exactly that, but as soon as I got the checks for $12,000, I went to the city bank to get the funds in cash.
