I should have learned a long time ago, that it is not a good idea to delay something that you need to do.

I know they say that you shouldn’t wait for tomorrow, what you can do today, but my mindset is the exact opposite.

I had a habit of waiting, and waiting, and waiting, until sometimes disaster struck. Well, I did it again, and this time I have a feeling it is going to cost me quite a bit of money. Why? Well, it is because of my heating and air conditioning system. I know that every year you are supposed to get your heating and air conditioning machine looked at by a professional HVAC worker. Well, even though I knew this. I could be a bit reluctant to actually do so. So oftentimes I would wait and wait, and then never actually make the appointment. I was basically going to do that again this year, I would tell myself to make the appointment, and then never get around to actually doing it. I guess my heating and cooling machine had had enough, because with a loud noise, it suddenly stopped working. I knew this was a bad sign, and I decided that there was enough waiting, and so I called the HVAC corporation close to me. Unfortunately, I wasn’t the only one with this problem, and since it was the middle of the summer, everyone was calling about their broken air conditioners. What a mess! The cooling tech said it was going to take 3 weeks just to come to my place! I am really wishing I took better care of my cooling device now.

Not having to worry about HVAC maintenance or which HVAC company to call when you need home services is a special kind of blessing.

Since Kylian and I started dating, we are married.

I no longer have an a/c worker’s number pinned on my kitchen wall. Kylian is a certified HVAC technician who takes care of our HVAC unit’s needs. Through him, I have learned so much about a/cs and ductwork that he can easily guide me if our air conditioner has a problem and he is not around. When we first met I assumed that he was a mechanic or something of the sort since he had oil on his hands and some was smeared on his shirt. Later when I talked to him, there was something he said and I thought he was an accountant. Until he mentioned it, nothing inclined me to think that he worked in the home services industry. I am still embarrassed to date because when he told me he worked for the local indoor comfort business, I immediately started telling him the issues I was having with my air conditioning system. As soon as it was out of my mouth I regretted it and apologized. He said that as an HVAC professional, he was used to such outbursts when he mentioned his profession. I never brought up my need for help with indoor comfort again until when I eventually invited him to my house for dinner, and he noticed that the air quality was amiss. The next day he came to my house and fixed the HVAC, which included cleaning the air duct and the washable ac filter.

The last call gave me a little hope, but even then, I had to wait a whole twenty-four hours before I could have my unit fixed.

I was standing by the fridge with the door open trying to cool my body. The heat had reached degrees that I had only experienced in a different geographical area. Calling for ac repair had become impossible since calls to any HVAC company were not going through, and the one that went through, the receiver on the other end of the home services provider would only offer an apology as every a/c worker was out in the field. It was all my fault. I had a quality HVAC unit but I had neglected it and never bothered with HVAC maintenance. In my misery, I remembered a friend who works as an HVAC technician. She had taken it upon herself to teach me more about my air conditioner but I dismissed him saying that I was not interested in a lecture on HVACs. I had only said it as a joke, but now I only wished I had learned a thing or two, and maybe I could have fixed the AC and improved the air quality even temporarily until the next HVAC professional would be available. I took a shower, but the minute the cold water dried, I was back to sweating again. The last call gave me a little hope, but even then, I had to wait a whole twenty-four hours before I could have my unit fixed. I had learned my lesson the hard way. As the tech worked I asked him about the ductwork and what I could do to help with indoor comfort. He told me to check the air duct and to replace the ac filter regularly.

We were playing a game of truth or dare at my friend’s place and knowing that they were like bloodhounds when it came to sniffing out the truth I mostly opted for a dare.

They dared me to go to the lady in the next house who had moved in less than a day before and pretend that I was from the HVAC company.

My act had to be so convincing that the lady would let me inspect her air conditioner. I rang the doorbell and the lady answered the door. I gave her my real name and told her that I was an ac worker from the local home services provider and we had received a call from someone who needed an ac repair. She said that I was earlier than they had told her and what she needed was HVAC maintenance. As she took me toward her air conditioning system, she asked me how long I had worked in the industry. I was about to say ten years, but I quickly corrected myself and said seven months. She took me to the HVAC unit and told me that in the past month, the indoor air quality had changed negatively. She also wanted the ac filter replaced to help with indoor comfort. It was when I realized I had to come up with an escape plan, so I faked a call. I excused myself to receive it and then went to tell her that my fellow HVAC professional had called to say that he had given the wrong address. The homeowner of the new address wanted their thermostat serviced and their air duct sealed. Before I left, the lady told me that she probably knew more about AC and ductwork than I did. I still have no idea how she figured out that I was a fake.

Timothy had sent job applications to several home service providers, and none had called him back.

With no job and the bills piling up, he was at a loss for what to do.

He is a certified HVAC technician, but it was proving to be no good since no HVAC company was hiring. Tim eventually took up a job as a steward in a restaurant which was paying little, but it was better than nothing. On weekends after his shift at the restaurant he worked as a valet in a posh nightclub. As his friends, we tried to help by calling him for ac repair and HVAC maintenance, but such jobs came at most thrice a year, so they were of little help. One day I asked him to accompany me to my parents’ place for a family dinner since we have been friends since childhood. During dinner, my parents’ had invited their neighbors, a couple the same age as my parents. During dinner, Chad the neighbor started talking about how their air conditioner was misbehaving and was doing little to help with indoor comfort. I quickly chipped in that Tim was an excellent HVAC expert and would have no trouble fixing their HVAC unit. The next morning Tim fixed their air conditioning system and did not charge them for reasons best known to him. He even taught them about the best way to care for the ductwork. He also recommends that they clean the air duct within the next six months and replace the AC filter within the week to improve the air quality. A week later, Tim got a call from an indoor comfort business, and they said that a person named Tim had recommended him for an HVAC professional spot. Never in all the years which I had known them would I have thought Chad had connections in the cooling industry.

I just got a brand up-to-date plus completely up-to-date baseboard heating system for my house.

I know that baseboard heaters are not generally something everyone gets these afternoons. However in my case I wanted to go a bit outdated university. Because I have a window a/c component plus I used to have a gas heater. I never got a central heating plus cooling system because I felt that they are too much maintenance. So this is why I bought a baseboard heating system for my home to take care of the heating. I was just cheerful that they did not discontinue making these things! Even though it is rare that anyone buys baseboard heaters these afternoons, they still make them plus I think they still do sell to a certain extent, otherwise they would not even make them anymore. I am happy that I was able to pick one up plus that they were just as easy to install as they constantly have been. They did not do any crazy up-to-date heating plus a/c technology stuff for the installation. It was split plus dry the way it used to be so I did not have to hire some heating plus a/c specialist from the local heating plus a/c company to install my brand up-to-date plus totally up-to-date baseboard heating system. It all worked out pretty good at the end of the day plus I am certainly happy to once again have an outdated university baseboard heating system that is brand up-to-date plus totally up-to-date with the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C market now.
