It’s strange how something that appears to be as elementary as indoor air quality just totally got by me somehow.
I simply didn’t know anything about indoor air quality.
For me, if there was any sort of HVAC unit running, then that meant it was cleaning the air. But recently, I learned that air pollution is something that is just not relegated to the outside air. For the longest time, I thought air pollution came out of the exhaust pipes for cars and trucks. Pollution was a problem due to factories and other entities like that. But it took me just a few minutes looking online to learn just how completely wrong I actually was. The inside of our homes come with plenty of airborne contaminants. And the HVAC equipment doesn’t clean the air. HVAC units only provide heating and cooling. Unless there is an air purifier present in the house, the HVAC is not cleaning the air. Of course that puzzled me because I noticed that there’s dirt and dust on the air filter when I change it each month. But those cheap air filters are designed to stop anything that is big enough to harm the HVAC equipment. So once I got all this figured out, my priority was to get the best indoor air quality I could provide for my family. So the we had the HVAC company come out to install a whole home air purification system inside our HVAC unit. This resulted in the best indoor air quality anybody could find. We are breathing healthier air and protecting our respiratory system while also enjoying the freshest cleanest smelling air ever.
