Check your air handler or furnace and vacuum for any dust or debris in and around the unit, and dirt can clog the air flow and it can overwork the equipment, but vacuum the dust from all the air registers around your house
The number 1 cause of heating and air conditioner plan failures is homeowners not having routine preventative service performed on their equipment, regular comprehensive service on your plan increases efficiency and extends the life of your system, because just like your car, your Heating and A/C plan needs preventative service to continue operating in good condition! Make sure you have a wash filter yearly and change it when it’s dirty, however always have many filters on hand, and consider installing a programmable thermostat. You can save energy by programming the temperature so the plan doesn’t run so much while you are away, the outside condenser equipment coils need to be free of dirt, leaves, grass and whatever else may inhibit regular airflow across the condenser coil. Check your air handler or furnace and vacuum for any dust or debris in and around the unit, and dirt can clog the air flow and it can overwork the equipment, but vacuum the dust from all the air registers around your house. Check vents and make sure they are clear of furniture, carpets, drapery, etc., to let air flow freely, then have your Heating and A/C plan maintained seasonally: Primarily in the Spring and Fall.
