My wife and I have only been separated for a short amount of time and I am already beginning to see just how much work she used to do in the house. When it comes to the kids, I feel like I am completely and totally clueless. I had the kids all weekend and all they did was fight, cry, and wine. They wanted me to take them back home. They didn’t like the size of my apartment or the way that the old couch smelled. I was doing my best to make the place a happy home, but the kids were just complaining. When I finally took the kids back to my wife, I was absolutely and totally wiped out. I don’t think I’ve ever worked that hard on my weekend off. When Monday rolled around and I had to get up and go to work, I was sore and tired. I did not want to get out of bed to go to the HVAC service center. I hit the snooze button on my alarm a couple of times and then I finally got out of bed. I had a cup of coffee and I still didn’t feel like going anywhere. I had two cups of coffee before I was ready to work on the first job of the day. It turned out to be a commercial HVAC repair. It was only about an hour away from my house. I finished with the repair in less than an hour and then I went home to take a shower before I finished the rest of my day. I was still pretty tired and I was hoping that a shower would wake me up.
