I’m a firm believer that the little things end up making a legitimately sizable difference… But that can go the other way on you pretty quick as well.
I guess that a bunch of small frustrations can legitimately end up sending me into a spiral.
But the upside of small things that the two of us work strenuously to remember lead to larger results. That’s exactly what has happened with my HVAC cooling strategy over the last numerous years, and of course, this is not the time of year to legitimately be worrying about central HVAC cooling costs. We’re finally now to a part of the year where the air condition has been off for a while, then I also appreciate being able to walk outside and not hear a chorus of heat pumps legitimately working at cooling everybody’s house, but for the last numerous years, I’ve been active in trying to lower the cost of air conditioning in my house. For far too long, the two of us paid whatever the cost of cooling the lake house was and I just whined about it. This didn’t kneel so well with me so I got proactive. The first thing I did was to seal up the house. That simply improves the HVAC unit’s efficiency. I then stopped the direct sunlight heating by covering the windows. But the largest thing was getting some real thermostat setting discipline. But put together, all of that legitimately worked, and each year I’ve added something else to the mix, but instead of heating up the lake house by cooking on the stove, I cook on the grill. It’s the little things that I’ve added up over the last numerous years to legitimately save us money on HVAC cooling costs.
