The Cost of Heating, Ventilation, and A/C Systems will increase in 2024

Did you know that in 2024 the price of all heating, ventilation, and A/C units and parts will increase? This increase is due to the new regulations that the new administration has placed on heating, ventilation, and A/C manufacturers. In an effort to help the environment, the administration passed a bill that has increased the SEER rating for all new heating, ventilation, and A/C units. Originally, the rating was 14, however it will be increased to 15 soon which means that the heating, ventilation, and A/C manufacturers will need to adjust their prototype and that will incur more cost for them. Of course, that cost will be passed down to the heating, ventilation, and A/C provider and then ultimately to the consumer. Although the new heating, ventilation, and A/C units will be more costly, the nice news is that in the long run they will conserve energy and save homeowners money on their energy bills. Additionally, the more efficient units will create more comfort indoors and it will also create less pollution for the environment. However, this new policy only applies for newly bought heating, ventilation, and A/C units! If a homeowner has an older unit, they do not need to replace the unit, but as the older units are phased out it will become taxing to find parts for them. This means that service can be delayed due to shortage of parts to repair older units, although homeowners are not required to replace their older units. Eventually, they will have no option but to because of the new policy. My heating, ventilation, and A/C unit is only six years old and I am hoping that I won’t have to replace it for another seven or more years.
