With an air cleaner, you get the HEPA air filter, plus an added UV light which will kill virtually all mold spores, mildew plus other nasties that could escape into the air
When Joe, my local Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C pro, told me about the air cleaner, the only thing I could believe of was that it was a fancy modern kind of air filter. Joe wanted me to get a HEPA air filter instead of the typical air filter I had been using. I told him that wasn’t what I needed plus asked Joe if I couldn’t just put the HEPA air filter into our oil furnace plus the AC unit. Joe told me that installing a HEPA air filter wasn’t that easy, however unless you have a newer model of Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C system, they didn’t build the older Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C systems to handle HEPA air filters. The HEPA air filter was much thicker plus had a heavier weave, which is why they can filter out a lot more dirt, debris, dander, allergens, plus other things that get in the air. Joe said an air filter can capture the mold spores, however they can’t kill them. That’s where the HEPA air filter comes in. They installed our Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C plan before people knew about the HEPA air filters. The price is much higher, plus everyone doesn’t want that expense. With an air cleaner, you get the HEPA air filter, plus an added UV light which will kill virtually all mold spores, mildew plus other nasties that could escape into the air. I still wanted to just use the HEPA air filter in our Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C system, however Joe wasn’t buying it, plus I wasn’t buying his pitch to have an air purification plan installed. Maybe I am being stubborn, but I had lived with all the nasties in the air for all these years, so I decided an air purification plan wasn’t for me.
