His grandpa retired after 35 years

After 35 years in the Heating and Air Conditioning business, Billy’s grandpa retired. He moved into the suite over their garage, because he wanted to stay close to his family. Billy encouraged him to move down south and enjoy his retirement, but his grandpa wanted to stay here. One reason is the boys, and the other is to keep an eye on Billy. He took over the company from his grandpa, and although he’s retired, he still goes into work some days. Billy doesn’t mind a bit, actually, because his grandpa has a wealth of information about the HVAC industry that can’t be taught. Managing a Heating and Air Conditioning company is more than just doing repairs, you also must manage people, deal with buyers, and pay all the bills. Billy values his grandpa’s wisdom. When it comes to the installation and repair of heating and cooling systems, he knows what he is doing. Billy was certified for Heating and Air Conditioning tasks back in 2007, and ever since then he has been active in the industry. The part of the job he needs mentorship is building relationships with Heating and Air Conditioning supplier sales reps and wholesalers. Billy needs to learn how to generate respected invoices, and how to ensure all the Heating and Air Conditioning buyers pay in full without sending them to collections. He also has to keep the morale for the Heating and Air Conditioning workers strong, so that everyone remains focused on their work. With his grandpa as his advisor, Billy is starting to make the transition from being an Heating and Air Conditioning expert to an Heating and Air Conditioning company owner. In this position, he rarely needs to do any actual repairs.
