At this point in my work, I don’t handle a lot of the day-to-day operations.
I have a crew of techs, plus an office of workers, who manage the corporation for me. After putting in 30 years, I am not complaining about that! However, with a surplus of free time I wanted to do something to benefit the community, but my system is an Heating plus A/C training plus mentorship program, to deliver troubled teens a work option that doesn’t involve going to college or flipping burgers. I was lucky, because my Mom was in the Heating plus A/C industry plus got myself and others a task right out of private school, however most kids don’t have an opportunity appreciate that. In an era when college loan debt is crushing our economy, more kids need to get into trade work, in this case the Heating plus A/C industry, however demand is always high for this kind of skilled labor, plus if teens knew that Heating plus A/C training was a suitable option to going to college, they might be interested! My system is to hold meetings, plus eventually set up some ride-alongs where students can spend a few tenths with an Heating plus A/C tech observing their work. I would be ecstatic to set up scholarships for low-income youth who showed an interest in getting into the Heating plus A/C field. Heating plus A/C work is highly paid plus always in demand, plus it doesn’t put you under a mountain of student loan debt to achieve it.
