I receive a message alert if there is a power outage or unexplained temperature fluctuation. Having the smart control machine trims running costs, helps myself and others take better care of the air conditioner and furnace and adds convenience. It also looks much nicer than the aged plastic model. The newer alternative is a streamlined touchscreen that displays information such as indoor and outdoor temperature.
