Movie theaters are so cold

It’s just as well that theaters are not as popular as they once were.

I don’t guess if it’s the identifiable theaters in our area, but in our personal experience, it always seems to be far too chilly within the theater itself.

I get that there’s a reason that they call them summer time blockbusters. In fact, I am aware of the historical nature of theaters. Movies were called summer time blockbusters, not just because great movies had a tendency to come out in the summer, but because summer time releases became desirable for movie companies because people would often visit the theater in the summer time to escape the heat. You see, theaters were among the first commercial buildings, or any buildings for that matter, to get central air conditioning. Thus, it used to be a real draw for people to come in from the heat plus love the nice plus cool breezy air conditioner while they also loved a fantastic movie. However, our local theaters just seem to take that to an unnecessary extreme. I’m always so chilly in the theater. I always guess that if I happen to go to a movie with friends or family, I’m going to need to bring an extra layer or several! Obviously, this is a hassle in the summer, because it easily gets quite moderate around here. I just end up needing to tie a hoodie around our waist until I get into the theater. Now however, our fiance plus I have a tendency to stay in the comfort of our own perfectly weather conditions controlled loft while the people I was with and I love a movie. I’m missing nothing as far as I’m upset!
