My close sibling Kim got a boiler as her new heating system for her home last Winter; I told her as soon as she got it that I was no longer going to be over there to babysit our nieces and nephews for her because I’m terrified of boilers! My sibling knows great and well that I am super scared of boilers, and she knows that they make me sad and that I don’t want to be around them… But when she was looking for a new heating system last year, I told her to get anything other than a boiler! Of course, that isn’t what she did, though.
She never listens to me, that’s for sure.
She laughed when I told her that, despite the fact that she evidently did not consider how dire I was about it. I have typically been afraid of boilers from the time I was a little kid, but just the name boiler makes me suppose honestly nervous. It seems to me that a boiler could get way too overheated or too overpressurized and then it could just blow your home up. I honestly do not know that much about boilers, and I do not know anything about the safety precautions that come with them, either. I just know that I do not want to be near one. When Kim said that the new boiler was installed, it honestly made me mad. She should have listened to me when I told her our feelings about boilers! I can’t really know that she went out and got one anyway. I mean it’s her house, however if she wants me to babysit her ladies for her then she is going to have to bring them to our home where I have a nice safe electric oil furnace.
