HVAC tech handles a surprise I missed

My desire to leave the apartment life behind and become a homeowner was undoubtedly strong. I neglected a critical heating and cooling issue in my haste to leave my apartment and move into my new home. I was aware that the HVAC system would need to be replaced because the central air conditioning system was out of date. When it came to the ductwork, however, I kind of blew it. Because my lease was about to expire, I hurried when I was in the middle of purchasing my home. So I was attempting to make things happen quickly. Prior to the sale, the house had undergone an inspection. A long list of issues that needed to be resolved was returned. But I was aware that for a very long time, this place would have to be completely under construction. However, I was ready to make that sacrifice in order to escape the apartment lifestyle and begin accumulating some equity. Therefore, all I was attempting to do was make the space livable first. I would then take care of all the other things that needed to be renovated. So I began with what I believed to be merely an upgrade to the heating and cooling system. However, it was evident that the ductwork was damaged when the HVAC contractor performed the inspection on his first visit. This surprised me, and upon looking at the home inspection report later, I discovered that I had overlooked it. However, this HVAC expert was completely prepared for this unexpected event. By installing a ductless multi split system as opposed to replacing the HVAC unit and the ductwork, he was able to stay within my budget for the HVAC upgrade.
