Moving south for an HVAC job

After twenty years in the same house, I have decided to move.

I’m not getting any younger, and my doctor said that the climate in the southern states would be good for me.

It will not be easy to move so far away, but on the other hand I have an empty nest. My wife passed away, the kids all moved out for college, or just to get their own places, so I am here alone. Perhaps if I move to a condo right on the sandy beach it will give my life a jump-start. Luckily I don’t need to worry about work, because demand for experienced HVAC techs is always in high demand. After doing a quick bit of online research I found half a dozen HVAC contractors that are actively seeking new techs. A certified HVAC tech can write his own ticket in some places. HVAC certification is done on a national level with the same certified tests. That means the HVAc certification exam is the same in Florida as it is in Alaska, New York, or California. If you are like me and have your HVAC certification you can start applying for jobs anywhere in the country! I think having a house overlooking the beach would be amazing, and I should be able to afford it with as much as these HVAC contractors are offering. Very soon I will make the move, I just want to have a new HVAC position locked down before I sell this house. Once I get settled in I will share some pictures of my new place.
