Twenty minutes after noon, I have the flu and am slowly making it through my workday.
It’s hard to write when your body hurts and you have a headache, but I know I can do it with a little patience and persistence. Our band finally got the business cards we’d been waiting for, so now my friend and I are going to start spreading the word about us in bars and pubs to see how many gigs we can get. In the summer, we want to play three shows a week in bars with air conditioning, and in the winter, we want to do the same in the mountains, where my friend and I have a cabin. If my friend and I can pull this off, we’ll have a cool life ahead of us. I know this is possible if my friend and I keep working hard and making new and better songs. Every week, the cooling corp keeps me busy, but not so busy that I don’t have time to practice my music, like most of my married and working friends. One of my friends told me that he only has about an hour to himself every afternoon because he has to work and take care of his apartment. I have avoided these things so I can become an artist. I don’t know if I would have the time or energy to work on tunes like I have for so many years if I ran my Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning business like I did before. I’ll be glad I took a chance and got into music because it gave me a lot of good memories.
