We were playing a game of truth or dare at my friend’s site and knowing that they were like bloodhounds when it came to sniffing out the truth I mostly opted for a dare. They dared me to go to the lady in the next house who had moved in less than a day before and pretend that I was from the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company, and my act had to be so convincing that the lady would let me inspect her cooling system. I rang the doorbell and the lady answered the door. I gave her my real name and told her that I was an a/c worker from the local household services provider and we had acquired a call from someone who needed an a/c repair. She said that I was earlier than they had told her and what she needed was Heating, Ventilation, and A/C service. As she took me toward her cooling system, she asked me how long I had worked in the industry. I was about to say ten years, however I abruptly corrected myself and said seven months. She took me to the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C component and told me that in the past month, the indoor air quality had changed drawbackly. She also wanted the a/c filter replaced to help with indoor comfort. It was when I realized I had to come up with an escape plan, so I faked a call. I excused myself to acquire it and then went to tell her that my fellow Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional had called to say that he had given the wrong address. The homeowner of the new address wanted their temperature control diagnosed and their HVAC duct sealed. Before I left, the lady told me that she genuinely knew more about A/C and HVAC duct than I did. I still have no idea how she figured out that I was a fake.
