Smart thermostats are supposed to be a highly efficient piece of technology that is well made.
Well, even though that is true, periodically the smart thermostat you get can be a dud.
I honestly know the wireless thermostat that I got is one of those duds. I got my thermostat a couple of years ago, & from the start, I had issues with it. I didn’t know too much of it at first, I just figured that it needed to adjust. But no, I consistently had some kind of issue with it. But the issues weren’t bad enough to make me want to chuck the thermostat in the garbage. However, after two years, the thermostat swiftly stopped working. This was incredibly disappointing, but also not too surprising. I didn’t want to go without a thermostat, & I wasn’t sure if I would be able to get a smart thermostat immediately, so I went to the local Heating & A/C store & purchased a programmable thermostat. While not as good as my aged smart thermostat was, it was good enough for now. I was not planning on keeping this thermostat permanently, it was just going to be for now until I get a better thermostat. It is really for the best, because some of the thermostats can be quite lavish as well. I might buy a weird brand this time as well, just to make sure I don’t get stuck with another dud. I am glad to have gotten rid of that aged thermostat, & not deal with its issues anymore.
