Traditional HVAC isn’t for everyone.

My wife and I love ductless HVAC

When I was younger, I thought everyone had a furnace and window air conditioning units, or no air conditioning. I didn’t know they had different heating and air conditioning, back then. It wasn’t until I was in high school, that I realized buildings other than businesses, some churches, and rich people, had central HVAC. There was ductwork in the buildings and it delivered heating and air conditioning to every room in the building. Now that I am older, I am realizing that not everyone wants central air conditioning. A high amount of heating and air conditioning is lost inside the ductwork, and it is dusty. I’m not sure I would want central heating and air conditioning. I bought a house that had a boiler. The heat is created with hot air that flows through pipes. Small fans blow the heat off the pipes and through a floor radiator into the rooms. It is warm, but the heat doesn’t always reach the ceiling. It cools before getting much past head level. There is no central air conditioning because there is no ductwork. Once again I was relying on window air conditioners for cooling. Last year, we had to replace our boiler. A traditional furnace and central air conditioning was a thought, but we chose ductless HVAC. We didn’t have the cost of ductwork, and the heat and air conditioning came out of one unit, and it all went into the house. My wife and I love ductless HVAC. It is cleaner to operate, more economical, and it needs less servicing. I can’t imagine having better HVAC that operates more cheaply than ductless HVAC.
