Don't like southwest style

I moved into a household that had a entirely bold type as well as I looked it up, then it is a southwest type that was in my home.

I entirely didn’t like it.

It was all desert type as well as bright colors, there were a lot of browns, golds, reds, as well as tans. I thought it was kind of like an old west theme as well as was tacky. So many people cherish the southwest type of home. They even have a variation called southwest sparkler. That wasn’t for me at all. I talked to an interior designer once I got comfortable in my home. I wanted to change the home as best as I could. I didn’t want those colors, fabrics, as well as the theme splashed in the home. I wanted it modern, classic, as well as clean. When you have so many wood tones, brown furniture, as well as tan carpets, you are a bit limited. I couldn’t have gone from a southwest sparkler family room to a glamor family room. I was able to do a transitional type though. This is where you take the classic look as well as make it a bit funky. I was able to leave the wood as well as some hot tones while adding in splashes of grays as well as blacks. Thank goodness the interior designer was the one coming up with where to add what. I would have made a mess of colors as well as patterns… Fighting the home theme is next to impossible… Now the household is a lot better. Anytime I replace a space, I detach the wood as well as change it to metal, eventually my transitional type is going to be a traditional style.
