Now that I am done with my degree, I have a ton of college debt all racked up that I’m going to have to pay off.
As I am sitting here looking at all of my loans and all of the money that I’m going to have to pay back, I have realized that I probably should have just done this whole school thing in a completely different way.
Back when I was younger, I was always interested in becoming a heating and cooling technician. That’s because my uncle was a heating and cooling technician when I was growing up and I always idolized him when I was a kid. Anyway, I used to think that I wanted to become an HVAC technician like my uncle, and that was my plan up until the time that I graduated from high school. Unfortunately for me, all of my friends were talking about going away to college and so I thought that’s what I should do too. That ended up being a big mistake for me. I did not enjoy going to college and I did not find a major that I really even was all that interested in. I stuck with it though and now I am a graduate with a degree in something that I don’t even care about doing. I’m now thinking that I’m just going to go and get my HVAC certification and go into the heating and cooling industry anyway. I’m going to be completely over qualified with a degree that is going to do me absolutely no good. And working as an HVAC technician is probably going to be something that fulfills me and makes me happy. I wish that I had not gone to college at all and that I had gone straight into the heating and cooling industry.
