If you have an HVAC warranty, then make sure that you don’t accidentally void it by putting off regular maintenance checks the way that I did. Honestly, I still can't believe that this actually happened to me. Usually I am really good about things like this that have a time frame built into them. I have never in my life waited a warranty because of something like this before, and at this point I'm just feeling really dumb about it. One of the whole reasons that I bought the HVAC system that I did was because they had such a great warranty on it. Now, I have totally voided that warranty just because it slipped my mind that I needed to have maintenance checks done on it regularly. The only thing that I would have had to do would have been to call up my local heating and cooling company and have them come out to the house to double check and make sure that the HVAC unit was working correctly. That would not have been very hard for me to do at all, but for some reason, it just slipped my mind. I am really losing it as I get older. This would have never happened to me ten years ago, but these days I feel like I am just not at the top of my game when it comes to stuff like this. It’s really true that you start to forget things when you get older! It’s really annoying and I am so mad that my HVAC warranty doesn’t work anymore. Unfortunately, I don’t have anyone to blame but myself!
