It’s not easy to fail.
I suppose it’s part of life and there are just things that are completely out of our control.
I absolutely didn’t lose my task for performance reasons. In fact, over the first 4 years, I got wonderful reviews and was on a career track inside the zone controlled Heating and A/C of my former workplace. But Covid happened and I was 1 of the unfortunate 1s to be laid off. It wasn’t a sizable surprise to me that I might not get back inside that zone controlled Heating and A/C when the business started lay offs. I was 1 of the last 1s in so I was 1 of the first 1s out. Again, that’s just the way it goes. But I tried to hold on inside the not so wonderful air conditioning of my home that first summer time of Covid. I found a few online gigs that brought in some money. By September, it was clear that the zone controlled Heating and A/C in the office would not be anywhere I was going back to. I’d heard nothing from the business and nobody else who got laid off did either. So when the lease on my home came up, I had to let it go. That meant going home to mom and dad. That’s a hard thing to swallow for a person like me. I’ve constantly be a goal oriented person who strives for and achieves success. Thankfully, on my first big fail, my parents were kind enough to let me stay with them in their modern site. It has incredible Heating and A/C equipment with all the latest Heating and A/C technology. So while my prospects took a ding, the heating and cooling sure was an update from the home that I had to move out of.
