Giving washable air filters a try

When a friend of mine recommended that I should use washable air filters instead of disposable air filters I was really skeptical.

Washable air filters just didn’t even seem like a thing.

It just didn’t sound like something that would work to me. I couldn’t wrap my head around it. So you’re telling me that all I have to do is wash out there or something that I can reuse it? That’s why I was so reluctant to try it for a long time. The whole thing was brought up when my friend and I got on the subject of heating and cooling. She was telling me about how she just had her furnace repaired after having it stay broken for a long time and have a relief. I told her I hadn’t done any work on my heating and cooling system except replacing the air filters. That’s when she told me that she had purchased washable air filters. I didn’t even know what a washable air filter was and so I asked her to explain. She explains I wash what air filter that’s exactly what it sounds like, it is an air filter that can be rewashed and reused. She told me it’s way better and saves money in the long run than using disposable air filters, but mentioned they’re all not as expensive as, say, HEPA filters. I was skeptical but she gave me one of hers to try it out. I ended up loving the water filters, they were way easier to wash than I thought and I could reuse them over and over again. Now they are all I will use.
