When the HVAC company came to service my HVAC system during the fall, I realized that the age of my HVAC equipment was much older than I assumed.
I knew the year my HVAC system was installed, but I lost track of time and I realized how much time had passed. My HVAC system wasn’t ready to be replaced quite yet, but it was definitely something to consider in the upcoming years. To make the most of things, I wanted to find ways to run my HVAC system more efficiently. I did my own research and discovered that most houses were using smart thermostats to keep their home heated and cooled efficiently. Smart thermostats were more advanced than traditional thermostats since they could run off of WIFI and connect to cell phones. Smart thermostats were known for picking up on heat and air patterns and programming themselves to run optimally. They could also be changed anywhere at any time via a cell phone, which meant that houses could be temperature controlled while away. This was a huge advance in the HVAC industry because people could now alter their HVAC systems while they were away, meaning that no HVAC treated air was wasted. It became clear to me that if I wanted to run my HVAC system efficiently, then I needed to install a smart thermostat. It would set me back a couple hundred dollars, but it would pay itself off over time.
