Sometimes you never genuinely know a person even if you spend a lot of time with them, and I feel like that about one of old employees, but Jack was a quiet guy, and he never got into any trouble and he always handled the repairs that were on his schedule! One customer had a complaint about Jack, however it was about maintenance repair that was too expensive, and no one ever complained about his character.
I never would have let Jack go from the Heating and A/C maintenance business.
He was an asset to the company, when he moved out of town, I was sas to see him go. I did not hear his name again until last weekend when I was watching the news, however the name caught me off guard and I had to rewind the DVR to watch the news story a second time. It was the guy that used to work for me that was displayed in the news story. The guy was arrested for being part of a large drug ring in town. He was arrested with bags of cocaine, meth, and crack. He had guns and money in the vehicle too. I was absolutely surprised to hear his name and see his face. I thought about going down to the jail to see if the guy needed any help, however my wife didn’t want me to get involved, but she told me that 2 years have passed since the guy worked for me and he entirely isn’t the same employee that I remember. I think she is entirely right, however I feel bad for the guy.
