As the Summer closes in, it’s important to make sure your A/C is in good working order, however a well-maintained A/C unit will not only keep your apartment cool and comfortable while in the hottest months, it will also help to improve air quality and reduce energy consumption.
So to make things a bit easier for you, we are going to give you a few tips for prepping your A/C for summer.
Schedule a tune-up with anheating and A/C pro or contact anheating and A/C company and speak to a heating and A/C rep about what you want to do, then this will ensure that your A/C unit is operating at peak efficiency, and check your thermostat. During the summer, you’ll want to set it to around 74 degrees, but if you have a heat pump, be sure to set it to “cooling” mode. Inspect your A/C unit, and make sure there are no leaves or other debris blocking the coils or fan. Also, check for any signs of wear and tear. If you notice any problems, be sure to call heating and A/C pro right away. Change your A/C filter or scrub the filter if it is a washable type of filter. A clean filter will help to improve air flow and keep dust and allergens out of your home. If you have a normal throwaway filter switch to a HEPA washable genre filter which will filter out more allergens and things that pass through the normal kind of filters. By following these simple tips, you can help keep your A/C unit running smoothly all Summer long. Good luck and every one of us wishes you the best in staying cool this summer.
