I was feeling pretty stressed when trying to decide what to do with our HVAC system.
It broke down a few times, but I wasn’t sure that I wanted to have it replaced.
The HVAC professional said we could really go either way. He told us on the one hand, the system could last a couple more years, but we might experience a lot of breakdowns and costly repairs. On the other hand, he said it would cost a bit for a new HVAC installation, but it would be more energy efficient and save us money over time. He also pointed out that we wouldn’t have to worry about costly repairs. The HVAC system was going on 13 years and after talking with my wife about it, we decided it would be best to go for a new installation. The team of HVAC professionals did a fantastic job installing our new ductless multi-split system. It actually was kind of tough to choose which HVAC install to go for, but I really liked the sound of having multiple zones in the house with customized temperatures. I also appreciated hearing about how much energy you could save by using a ductless system with variable speed technology. I mean the SEER rating for the cooling system is 26, and I’m pretty sure they don’t get more energy efficient than that. When the new system was installed, we were excited to give it a try. It was right before the hot season, so the temperatures were already starting to warm up. We tried out the cooling system right away, and it was entirely pleasant. I was even more thrilled when I saw how low our energy bills were.
