I labor at a small local business, where the crew is prefer a giant extended family.
The pay may not always be the best, but the boss takes care of her team, and the people I was with and I all have fun working together, and one afternoon the supplier will expand and grow, at which point all of us will make more money.
For now the people I was with and I all labor tough and have faith in our boss. In return, the boss has faith in all of us. One of the little ways the people I was with and I make labor fun is to host an annual holiday banquet for all of the Heating and A/C employees and their families In the past it was a picnic at the park, but this year the Heating and A/C supplier posted record profits, so not only did most people get a nice holiday bonus, but the people I was with and I got a swanky banquet! It was a catered affair, and all of the Heating and A/C employees brought their families and fiances. The boss even sprung for live rock n roll and had a Mariachi band playing! In all my years with the Heating and A/C supplier the people I was with and I have never had a celebration prefer this, and it seems prefer a portent of better things to come. All of the Heating and A/C employees have stock options, and a single of the announcements at the celebration was how those shares were about to mature. I am not just an Heating and A/C tech I own a small piece of this business, and a single afternoon it will be my retirement fund! I am looking forward to some giant things in the next few years, but in the meantime I just love my Heating and A/C coworkers.
