It’s been a long time since I absolutely had a Springtime in my step getting out of the automobile at work.

Normally, I tend to kneel inside the automobile with the a/c running for as long as I can before going inside the building. There have even been a few afternoons while I was in the past year where I barely could get out of the automobile at all. I don’t guess I was the only one feeling this way either. My pal and I were all sort of miserable inside the commercial HVAC of work. The decline had started many years ago but this past year was the worst. I nearly quit rather than spend another day inside the a/c of that building. Even the heating plus cooling was bad the last couple of years. It seemed as though the heating plus cooling device was completely overwhelmed. There was never enough heating in the winter season plus the a/c wasn’t enough the rest of the year. On top of that, there was a single control device for the entire building. We’re talking more than a hundred cubicles plus just one control unit. But these afternoons, there is a lot to be ecstatic about after a change in leadership. Not only do my friend and I have effective leaders who are engaged plus motivating us, my friend and I have new commercial HVAC as well. After the commercial HVAC replace, my friend and I have zone controlled HVAC with independent control units throughout the work space. It was long overdue but I’m sure ecstatic that it finally happened. And I easily love feeling superb about coming to work each day.

It’s been a while since my wife and I took a trip alone.

But thanks to recently seeing our last child through school, my friend and I are on our own now.

My wife and I had three kids, and we were fortunate enough to be able to raise them inside the central air of a good family home. That place was perfect for raising a family. I’m happy we replaced the HVAC device and sold it to a young couple who are also planning on having three adolescents. We ended up making a pile of money on that home. For sure, adding the latest in residential HVAC plus HVAC technology added large value to our home. But the timing was also just perfect when it came to the real estate market. I’m still sort of stunned by the amount of money my friend and I walked away with from that house. The locale was paid for so my friend and I get to benefit from all of the money. With that windfall has come some indulgence in things my friend and I hadn’t been able to do with adolescents plus tasks. We took a trip to the beach this fall that was perfect! And my wife and I chose to stay in a trip rental as opposed to the commercial HVAC of a hotel. And this locale had the best residential HVAC money could buy. There was zone controlled HVAC throughout the home and a smart control unit. It was awesome really. And it gave us an idea of the sort of quality heating and air that we might love in our next locale, but currently, my friend and I are renting but program on buying again soon. Now we have a good idea of what we want when it comes to heating and cooling in our new locale.

I tend to resist change.

This has been something that I’ve wanted to change for a long time.

But there is safety plus security in structure so I tend to stick to routines or know quantities. That’s one of the reasons it took me so long to come around to new HVAC technology. I grew up inside a beach home that didn’t have the sort of quality heating plus air that my friend and I tend to take for granted these afternoons. We got our heating from a pot bellied stove fueled with firewood. Luckily, I grew up in the south so my friend and I didn’t have a large demand for heating. But when the Summer rolled around, it was rough. Those summers were difficult to deal with since my friend and I had no air conditioning. But it also didn’t kill me. So when I became a homeowner, just having central air was a large heating and cooling system. And ever since, I’ve resisted getting too much HVAC technology because I felt that it was unnecessary. However, a visit to our son’s home had changed all that for me. He has the latest in residential HVAC. There is the zone controlled HVAC which provides six separate heating plus cooling zones in his home. The SEER rating for the heat pump is nearly three times better, which also means it’s vastly more efficient. But it was the smart control device that I was so taken with. I love this thing plus am looking forward to having the HVAC professionals come out plus install a smart control device for us.

I’m thankful technology helps me keep my life on track.

I’m closing in on 50, and have never been absolutely great about keeping certain parts of my life all that organized.

When I’m inside the commercial HVAC of the office, I’m organized and professional. Unfortunately, this isn’t true when I’m in my air conditioned home. Once I’m home, I tend to sort of focus on just relaxing from the day, and getting ready for the next one. So having technology that helps me with household responsibilities is a lovely gift. Before all this technology, I was a note guy. I would have Post-It notes all over the locale in hopes that I’d remember to do certain chores. But technology has changed all that for me. Those Post-It notes are precious inside the central air conditioner of my home now. Instead, I just add stuff to my calendar. And that ends up getting applied across my devices. Today, I got a reminder to call the HVAC business. We’re getting toward the end of February plus that means it won’t be long before the hot plus cold temperatures climb. That’s why I try to make the call to the HVAC professionals this time of year. I love to get a tune up done so we’re ready once the heat plus humidity gets rolling again. HVAC service is essential in order to have the heat pump in good shape to handle the Summer cooling demand. And an air conditioner tune up also ensures that the heat pump is running at peak efficiency which is super important.

Every day this week, I was outside in the sunshine.

• It’s February and that’s what we do here.

This is the time of the year when I love to stay outside when I can. While some people around the country are still inside with their gas furnace cranking out the heating, I’m enjoying the winter season weather. In our region, the winter season is certainly the time of year when it’s best to prefer being outside. I’m a large golfer, cyclist plus hiker so winter season time is my time to be outside in primetime. The best time to be outside is right in the middle of the day. This time of year is easily the only time of year that my friend and I can count on getting outside all day. Soon, the heat pump will wake back up as the need for a/c will return. And that will ultimately return me to a schedule that avoids being outside while I was in the peak heating hours of the summer; Like, I love taking my lunch plus eating outside. Even better is getting out of the commercial HVAC of the office when the food truck arrives. That is always a good day for me. Not only do I eat the yummy but fattening food truck food however I camp out on a bench in the sunshine while I eat it. And those are the days that I tend to take a few more minutes in the sunshine before heading back inside the air conditioning. I’m soaking all of these moments up right now. It won’t be much longer now until it’s time for air conditioning again.

I was visiting my mom in the hospital last week, and we were talking about how different things are, now that the COVID-19 crisis was ending. When my brother passed away, I wasn’t able to say goodbye, or go to his funeral because everyone was quarantined. It took a long time to get over not saying goodbye until I realized he had left me a voice mail two days before he died. He called to tell me how much he loved me and to let me know he would always be here for me. Now, I was sitting in my mom’s hospital room, and once I got in her room, we didn’t need to wear masks. I looked outside just in time to see the modular COVID-19 testing facility being taken down. I remembered going there to get tested before have surgery. I had to go there when my daughter had her daughter. Several times our doctor sent my husband and I to the modular COVID-19 testing facility, because they feared we had come in contact with someone who had COVID-19. I’m not unhappy to see the modular COVID-19 testing facilities come down, but it had become a part of our lives. I wouldn’t want to relive those couple of years again, but it brought families closer. It gave us a chance to see what we had been missing all those years when work and careers were our only concern. I enjoyed being home with my kids and working from home when they were otherwise busy. It was an adjustment, but I found out it was an adjustment that I became fond of.
