Small steps lead to great changes.
Any transformation has a start. The new commercial Heating & Air Conditioning in Joel’s office was just that sort of catalyst for the rising morale in her beat down office. That’s all thanks to having a new manager who did learn the office almost instantly. Joel’s previous manager was not an enjoyable guy and was overcome with negativity. That was the sort of vibration legitimately spread across the entire office. Joel and her co-workers were becoming defensive and had a bad attitude instead of working as a team. The office was even divided when it came to the temperature control setting. They only had a single temperature control for the whole floor. That’s more than 60 people having to agree on one temperature control setting. A great manager would have seen this early and set an average temperature and stuck to it. But Joel’s ancient manager wasn’t listening to anyone. Joel can remember times when there were heated fights and people almost coming to blows over the temperature control setting. But with their new manager, the changes have come quickly and it’s wonderful. She wasn’t even here two weeks before she changed the entire commercial Heating & Air Conditioning situation. She had the Heating & Air Conditioning dealer come in and completely upgrade the commercial Heating & Air Conditioning in their office. Offices now have zone controlled Heating & Air Conditioning. This allows Joel and her co-workers to group their desks together by temperature control setting. That way, those who need extra Heating & Air Conditioning cooling in the Summer can group together. And those who need extra Heating & Air Conditioning heating in the Winter have their own temperature control. It’s been a good change and has added to the feeling of hopefulness in Joel’s office.
