It’s just as well that movieplexs aren’t as popular as they once were.
- I do not know if it’s the particular movieplexs in our area, but in our personal experience, it regularly seems to be far too freezing within the movieplex itself.
I get that there’s a reason that they call them summer time blockbusters. In fact, I am aware of the historical nature of movieplexs. Movies were called summer time blockbusters, not just because great motion pictures had a tendency to come out in the summer, but because summer time releases became desirable for movie companies because people would often visit the movieplex in the summer time to escape the heat. You see, movieplexs were among the first commercial buildings, or any buildings for that matter, to get central cooling system. Thus, it used to be a real draw for people to come in from the heat and enjoy the nice and cool breezy cooling system while they also enjoyed a great movie. However, our local movieplexs just seem to take that to an unnecessary extreme. I am regularly so freezing in the movieplex. I regularly know that if I happen to go to a movie with friends or family, I am going to need to bring an extra layer or multiple; Obviously, this is a hassle in the summer, because it really gets quite sizzling around here. I just end up needing to tie a hoodie around our waist until I get into the movieplex. Now but, our partner and I have a tendency to stay in the comfort of our own perfectly climate controlled loft while the two of us enjoy a movie. I am missing nothing as far as I am anxious!
