I work in the HVAC business.
But I am not your typical working stiff of a heat and a/c specialist.
I am my own boss because I am what is called an independent heating and air conditioning contractor. In being an independent heating and air conditioning contractor I make my own rules and work my own way. This is so much better than having to work for some heat and a/c company and be paid low dollar for tons of work and also I do not have to punch a time clock and be at work at a certain time, etc. With being an independent heating and air conditioning contractor my day begins whenever I have my first heat and a/c appointment scheduled for that day and it ends when the final HVAC appointment that I personally scheduled for the day is done. It is so much more of a relaxed way to work in the heating and air conditioning business. Also it makes it so that I get paid much more money than I would working for some heating and air conditioning company. It is just the only way to be a heating and air conditioning specialist in my most humble opinion. I started my own heat and a/c business after working for a heating and cooling company over a few years. I got tired of the way we all were treated and I got tired of being a slave more or less. Now I make the good money and I am happy with the work that I do.
