This Spring was a lot better for my respiratory health than any other year that I can remember.
- And that’s saying something because I tend to have a care about hate relationship with Spring.
I care about the fact that the gas boiler is done with heating and the uneven temperatures are beautiful. And I care about the fact that Spring is all about rebirth and blooming plant life. But with all that new red comes the yellow stuff that can make life hard for me. I’m referring to the pollen. When the tree and sod pollen levels are entirely high, I tend to suffer a bit just standing around in my house. There is some sort of air cleaner at labor that provides just the best indoor air quality; Yet, I entirely couldn’t afford to go with air purification, however perhaps someday when I am making the sort of salary that puts me on the floors of the office with zone controlled Heating, Ventilation plus A/C. But as I’m still in a cubicle and getting my experience, I don’t quite have that big weekly paycheck just yet. However, that didn’t stop me from greatly improving my indoor air quality and my respiratory health. All I had to do was replace the air filter for the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C equipment; Since I’ve been a homeowner, I have typically used the cheapest of air filters. But with the HEPA filter, I’m now easily getting cleaner air as stuff like pollen and other airborne contaminants are trapped and removed. I didn’t suffer at all from seasonal allergies inside my loft this past Spring. And all it cost me was the upgrade to the HEPA filter.
