It’s twenty minutes after noon right now, and I’m stumbling through my workday with the flu.
It is difficult to write when your body is aching and you have a headache, but I believe I will succeed with a little patience and perseverance.
Our band finally received the contractor cards we’d been waiting for, and now my friend and I will begin the process of getting our name out there to bars and pubs to see what kind of response we get for gigs. Our goal is to perform three shows per week in air-conditioned bars during the summer, and the same in the mountains where my friend and I have a cabin during the winter. If my friend and I can pull this off, we’ll have one cool life ahead of us, which I believe is possible if my friend and I keep pushing and making modern and better tunes. The cooling corp keeps me busy each week, but not so much that I don’t have time to practice my music like most of my married and working friends. My one friend said he only has about an hour a day to himself, the rest of the time is taken up with toil in addition to house responsibilities, which I have avoided in order to become an artist. I don’t think I’d have the time or energy to devote to music like I’ve been doing for so many years if I was still running my Heating and Air Conditioning company. I will have many fond memories of taking the option in addition to getting into music at the end of my life.
