I have the flu and could use a big bowl of chicken noodle soup to help me feel better. This afternoon is cloudy and cool, and I’m not sure what’s going on outside since the beaches are pretty empty. Summer is coming, and soon local business owners will be happy again because of the money they’ll make from tourists. My friend and I still have about six weeks before things get crazy and all the tourists arrive. Soon, my air conditioner will start up again and cool down my apartment so that my friend and I can stay cool and comfortable on those hot summer mornings. I live in a really cool town that I’d be happy to stay in for the rest of my life. This makes this town even better because I don’t have to leave it to get money from somewhere else. I like living here because there are no buses or subways and you can walk or ride a bike to get anywhere. The Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning business where I work is only a three-minute walk from my apartment, which makes it really easy for me to go to work every afternoon.
