I refused to pay for the cooling system. (It was a refurbished)

I called the Heating & A/C company & told them what the Heating & A/C serviceman said

Last month, I purchased a brand new a/c unit, & had it installed. The Heating & A/C company asked if I was interested in a service & service agreement. I was hesitant at first because it had a full warranty, but when he said it covered the service fees for all my annual work, it would save me money for the next two years. I agreed & put the cost in with my payment plan. Six months later, I was using the service & service plan for the first time. My a/c component was not working. The Heating & A/C serviceman arrived & asked me why I purchased a used a/c unit. I told him it wasn’t used. I had the a/c component installed six months earlier. It was brand new, & I showed him the sales receipt. He showed me the tag on the inside of the A/C unit. It clearly stated it was a refurbished A/C unit. He said if people could not afford the A/C unit, or it was only slightly used, the A/C component would be cleaned & serviced, & sold as a refurbished item. It didn’t mean there was anything wrong with it, but it wasn’t covered under the warranty. I called the Heating & A/C company & told them what the Heating & A/C serviceman said. They assured me it was a brand new unit, until I put the Heating & A/C tech on the line. They backed off, & said they would replace. I wasn’t going to pay for the cooling system until I had a new one standing in its site.
