I wasn’t sure I wanted to be an HVAC technician.

The only reason I was going to HVAC school was to make my dad happy.

He wanted me to join his HVAC company.

I wasn’t sure I wanted to be an HVAC technician, but I knew I had to go. My father wouldn’t have asked me to be an HVAC technician if it wasn’t important to him. He had always talked about giving his company to his first born, when he retired. I wasn’t his first born, but I was his only son. My sister didn’t want to be an HVAC technician, and that left the HVAC company to me. It wasn’t until I went to HVAC school that I knew I wanted to be there. The excitement of the other students had me excited, and I couldn’t wait to get inside and learn all about heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. My father was an HVAC company owner, but he didn’t bring his work home with him. He was introverted, and the only one he really talked to other than my mother, was his HVAC technicians. He was now talking to me about what I learned and asking if he could help me. It wasn’t until I was in my hand-on classes that I found out dad was one of the instructors. I got to work for his best friend, and competitor for two months, and then I worked with dad. I couldn’t believe how much fun I was having, and how quickly the time went. Before I knew it, I had graduated HVAC school, and was working on my certification. I was also looking forward to working with my dad and someday owning the HVAC company.
