It’s not always easy being a parent.
My spouse and I have done a great job raising our family.
We always wanted a big family with like 8 youngsters. It is great that we stopped at 5. The five kids still are a handful that my wife and I hardly had our space to enjoy the air conditioning in the quiet. The funny thing about us is that we are both quiet people. We met in the university library and connected instantly as we would hide away close to the AC while enjoying the breeze while our fellow students hanged out elsewhere. My wife was just like me which may be how we ended up as partners. Therefore, having a household full of young girls sometimes complicates our lives. During the pandemic era, we did pretty well when it came to coping with each other. We had to share the heating and cooling office of our apartment for over a year. We were working from the house and our kids also had online lessons. Even so, I found that I sometimes needed a place to just take a breath and be alone. So I had the HVAC company install a ductless heat pump inside the completed attic. It was the perfect spot where I could just sneak away for some high quality relaxation and some quiet time with my thoughts. The attic and the ductless Heating, Ventilation, and A/C are the parts of this space that make my days memorable even as we try to normalize the changes. And man, am I ever grateful for that.
