I’m enjoying the last bit of winter weather! It’s odd to say that as those to the far north of me are getting hit with historic cold, but each time I see this happen, I supply thanks yet again for living down south… This was a option I made years plus years ago, but and I for sure would trade a gas heater for a heat pump all over again.
Actually, I knew I wanted to live in the south before I was even an adult, my family would often getaway down here to get a break from the snow, ice plus all that heating inside the house.
I fell in appreciate with this region plus that feeling only grew, and so I chose to go to school down here plus never looked back, but february is easily pretty much the last full month of winter in this region. By March, plenty of my neighbors are already reaching for the control unit plus I hear the heat pumps kicking on. That’s usually my cue to get busy with my Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C savings strategy for the coming heat plus humidity, however of course, any sort of Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C strategy has to start with an a/c tune up. So I will be calling to schedule that in the next week or so. But really, outside of keeping a tight seal on the household plus mitigating direct daylight heating, my Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C savings strategy is pretty self-explanatory. Essentially, I just wait as long as I can to leave the a/c on. This way, I get far more actemperatured to the level of heat down here plus that lowers my demand for a/c in the summer. As my buddy and I move into February, I have to say that I’ll sure miss this perfect winter weather.
